Susan Clemence

Primary Photographer

A picture of Susan Clemence CrowleySusan is the owner and primary photographer at Clemence Photography. As a wife and mother or 4, Susan works well with families, young children, and especially loves to work in the hopeful excitement and romantic atmosphere of weddings.

22 years of experience insures professional performance under the pressure of a wedding day or during the challenges presented by young children.

Susan is accomplished in the use of natural light and professional lighting techniques that produce an authentic and pleasing image.  She will decisively direct her subjects for portraits that capture the Cape’s relaxed and casual atmosphere always keeping sessions easy and respecting the dignity of her subjects.

Susan is an accomplished retouching artist. She has been a print retoucher and photo restoration expert since 1989 and has provided seminars to her colleagues sharing this craft through the Cape professional association, PPOCC.

Susan began her career in 1977 working at Kelsey Airviews, a Chatham studio then known for excellence in wedding coverage, portraits and Aerial photography. After 9 years there, studying art in college, then 3 years working at Colby Photo on Main Street in Hyannis, she began Clemence Photography in 1989.  In addition to wedding coverage and portraiture, she offered photo restoration services to studios all around the Cape and beyond by mail order.  She continues to improve her skills and product lines as the industry evolves by studying under renowned photographers  instructing through the New England Institute of Professional Photography,  attending industry seminars, and by partnering with state-of-the-art color labs and album suppliers.

Rhonwen Churchill Vos

Photographer/Videographer

A picture of photographer Rhonwen Churchill VosRhonwen has worked as a videographer and more recently a still photographer on Cape since 2001.

She serves as the studio’s second primary photographer for wedding coverage and also uses a photojournalistic approach to capture the spontaneous, unscripted moments that make every wedding unique.  She holds a B.F.A. and and M.A. in Art, and her fine art photography has appeared regularly in local shows and galleries since 1992.

Rhonwen also offers discretely captured video coverage of your wedding day.

Video Coverage- $200/hr.    minimum 3 hours
